The international equestrian festival of Wuhan, China is one of the celebration activities sponsored by local government, aiming at making it th e card of city of Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province. It is characterized by taking the horse as the theme, integrating sport games, travelling, economy and culture. Just as commented by vice mayor Mr. Liu Shunni, it creates a new pattern for holiday observation activities of sponsoring by the government, co-sponsoring by enterprises and marketing operation. Mr. Tu Mingde, Vice Chairman of Chinese Olympic Games Committee, said that the international equestrian festival of Wuhan shall be written into the history of horse-racing games both of Wuhan and the whole country.

The People’s Government of Wuhan has successfully sponsored 3 consective internation equestrian festival of Wuhan, China since 2003. In 2006, the fourth internation equestrian festival of Wuhan, China will be jointly sponsored by Hubei Provincial Government and Wuhan City Government, due to open in October in golden autumn.
